BBMzansi 2026 Head of House Week 5: Mmeli Takes the Crown
The BBMzansi 2026 Head of House Week 5 challenge has produced a new leader in the Bazozwa house, and it is none other than Mmeli!
As tradition goes in the Big Brother Mzansi house, Mondays are reserved for the Head of House challenge, where housemates battle it out for immunity, power, and privileges for the week. Last week, Tumi the Barber successfully defended his title, becoming the first housemate this season to win the Head of House position twice.
This week, however, the crown has changed hands.
How the BBMzansi 2026 Head of House Week 5 Challenge Played Out
Earlier in the day, the Bazozwa housemates participated in Biggie’s “Cuff It” task, where they crafted proposals to ask someone to be their official partner for the week. These pairings later played a key role in the Head of House challenge.
In the evening, housemates were summoned to the Arena for a multi-stage competition. Unlike previous weeks, this challenge required housemates to compete in pairs based on their Cuff It partners.
Round One: Team Challenge
The housemates competed in pairs, and only three duos progressed to the next stage:
-
Mmeli and Thandeka
-
Bravo B and Trixie
-
Neliswa and The Don
Round Two: Individual Competition
The competition then shifted to an individual guessing game.
Housemates were asked:
“How many sweets do you think are in the jar in front of you?”
Each contestant wrote their guess on the jar, and the closest estimates advanced to the next round.
The housemates who progressed were:
-
Mmeli
-
Thandeka
-
The Don
-
Neliswa
Round Three: Speed and Precision Test
In this round, contestants had to carry a straw from point A to point B using only their upper lip and place it inside a jar as quickly as possible.
Rules:
-
Hands could only be used to press the straw to the upper lip at the start.
-
If the straw fell, hands could be used to reposition it.
After an intense race, only two housemates made it to the final stage:
-
Mmeli
-
Thandeka
Final Round
The final challenge tested speed, strategy, and patience.
Both finalists were required to:
-
Lay a mannequin on the floor
-
Use an entire roll of cling wrap
-
Completely wrap the mannequin as fast as possible
In a nail-biting finish, Mmeli outperformed Thandeka and emerged victorious.
Mmeli Crowned BBMzansi 2026 Head of House Week 5
With an impressive performance across all stages, Mmeli officially became the new Head of House for Week 5, securing immunity from nominations and gaining control over the house for the week.
