Big Brother Mzansi BU explains how life moved on after Big Brother Mzansi and Playing in Showmax’s Adulting Season 2.
Luthando Mthembu ‘BU’ is a former Big Brother Mzansi season 3 Housemate and also stars as Vuyani on Showmax’s Adulting.
The former housemate whose fame and popularity gained heights after featuring on the reality TV show says that his s3x scenes for Adulting Season 2 are going to be more “spicy”.
Adindu “Zino” Asuzu and Luthando “B.U.” Mthembu faced a double eviction from Big Brother Mzansi house.
BU in an interview with TshisaLIVE attributed Big Brother Mzansi for contributing to his fame: “Without Big Brother Mzansi, there is no Adulting. And without Adulting there is no next move. It’s changed my life in adjusting to popularity. I call it popularity because I don’t think fame in South Africa exists. I’ve always been multitalented, so now the spotlight is on me I can use my other skills.”
The singer and actor who will be working alongside Gomora actress and musician Thembi Seete in season two reveals that she’s very understanding and calm.
“A lot of the scenes that we did together were her first times. So, I felt honoured to have had the opportunity to help her with those experiences onscreen. It was really an honour to work with her,” he said.

He adds that whatever viewers saw in season one is amplified in season two and his character exudes more confidence and embraces whichever path he chooses.
“The show just intensified the experience. But I’m grateful to God that I was prepared for that because I’ve already experienced it in my life to some degree.”
